Scripps' East Florida Dailies to Use Saxotech for Content Production

E.W. Scripps' Treasure Coast Newspaper group of Stuart, Fla., will replace an aging Harris system with Saxotech's enterprise content management system starting in the fall. The group will use Saxotech's Mediaware Center platform to handle production workflow for its print and online operations at its four daily papers.

Saxotech will provide the papers with a single end-to-end CMS for the "planning, budget management, writing, editing, workflow automation, and asset management of all content for all channels, explains Saxotech's VP of Marketing Paul Harris. Saxotech will be used for paginating all print products, although the group will continue to use an open source system for its web presentation.

The Stuart News, The Press Journal in Vero Beach, Port St. Lucie News, and The (Fort Pierce) Tribune, will produce content for print and electronic editions on a common system, with a secondary site for disaster recovery. The system will manage all content coming in from a "Yes Desk," which the group has developed to receive and process reader content. …
