Mun-Ease, The Municipal Bond Manager, Release 8.0[TM]: The Windows Version. Municipal debt management is about to change forever with the release of the Windows version of GFOA's municipal bond manager, Mun-Ease Release 8.0. This integrated Windows software package meets all of the reporting and computation needs of a municipal bond issuer. It performs a wide variety of interest calculations, including total interest cost, sizing calculations, refunding analyses, and arbitrage/rebate calculations. It also has many features that assist finance departments in the accounting and reporting of their indebtedness. Mun-Ease can be structured to meet individual municipalities' needs and budgets. It is sold in individual modules that work together as a single software product, allowing purchasers to select only the modules they require, purchasing additional modules when the need arises. The software comes in both single user and LAN (client/server) versions. PENDAT95. Detailed information about the 309 public employee retirement systems, offering a total of 457 retirement plans, who responded to the Public Pension Coordinating Council's 1995 survey of state and local government employee retirement systems is available in the newly released PENDAT95 database. Containing more than 800 data items for each of the responding systems, the database includes number of active plan members; market value of assets; actuarial assumptions regarding investment return, inflation, and salary increases; the actuarial accrued liability; the actuarial value of assets; employer and employee contributions; asset allocation by major investment classes and actual rates of investment return. Unlike prior versions, PENDAT95 was written to run in the Microsoft Windows environment, and features pull-down menus and "point-and-click" database search capabilities. …
