Reggae, $5 pizzas, and the movie 300 are some of the most popular things on campus, according to college students we interviewed recently. Here's the scoop on what's currently "in" at the University of Iowa, the University of Alabama, and SUNY Plattsburgh.

Movies: 300, Shrek, and anything featuring Will Ferrell or Vince Vaughn

TV: 24, Heroes, American Idol, and The Price Is Right ("ESPN is always on at least one TV in the cafeteria.")

Music:: Rihanna, They Might Be Giants, and Justin Timberlake. Also, local bands, live street music, and dance remixes

Clothing: Iowa Hawkeye gear, flip flops, and iPod headphones

Munchies: Energy drinks, pizza, and sandwiches from Milo's and Subway

Downtime: Greek life ("Greek life here pretty much consists of house parties and formal socials in downtown Iowa City. Every now and then there's a charity event."), football, and volunteering. Hawkeye sports and video games such as Guitar Hero and Wii are in, too. Many students participate in Dance Marathon, which is a 24-hour dance that raises money for children with cancer.

Munchies: Krispy Kreme, Totino's Pizza, $5 pizzas from Little Caesars, sweet tea, and green tea

Downtime: Ultimate Frisbee, volunteering, hanging out in dorm rooms, intramural sports. …
