RESTAURANT SERVER

A local restaurant had a "Now Hiring" sign in the window, so I figured it was worth a shot and submitted my application. I love working with people, and I wanted to be a waitress so I could work on my people skills.

The interview worried me, though. It was my first interview for anything. I practiced with my parents, but that just made me more nervous. Also, my hair was either purple or pink at the time (I used to change it a lot), and my soon-to-be boss made it very clear that my hair had to be naturally colored for the job. So I was worried that would affect their decision about me.

My job is to serve food and deal with customers. There are side jobs, too, like restocking the salad bar and getting ice for the soda machine. The absolute best part of my job is dealing with people--the customers
