Manugraph DGM to Sell Americolor, Takes Orders for Lee, Ogden Commercial Sites

Manugraph DGM Inc., a subsidiary of Manugraph India Ltd. in Elizabethville, Pa., announced today that it will take over sales responsibility for the Americolor doublewide four-over-four tower. It also has sold press equipment to Lee Enterprises' Quad-City Times in Davenport, Iowa, and to Ogden Newspapers.

MDGM currently manufactures the Americolor as a slip-in full-color addition for any existing doublewide press.

Since development of the press in 2002, MDGM has used George R. Hall Contracting and Inland Newspaper Machinery Corp. as Americolor sales agents.

"In the beginning, we believed companies like Hall and Inland were better suited to market the Americolor press to double-width users, which in turn enabled MDGM to focus on our core single-width market," MDGM Sales Vice President Dave Moreland said in a statement. "MDGM and parent company Manugraph now have the necessary resources to take back the Americolor product line."

MDGM named Ron Ehrhardt, its international sales vice president, to oversee Americolor sales Ehrhardt started Americolor promotion when he was with George R. Hall Contracting. Americolor towers are used by Charleston (W.Va.) Newspapers on a Goss Metro press, The Herald-mail Newspaper Co. …
