This work offers a compendium of U.S. government guidelines and tools for working in critical infrastructure protection.

Author Robert Radvanovsky starts by identifying the numerous homeland security presidential directives (HSPDs) enacted since 2001 that outline the government's policies aimed at securing the homeland. He then identifies the 15 critical infrastructure sectors. The remainder of the book discusses the various laws, regulations, and guidelines that impact homeland security and critical infrastructure protection.

Like most government documents, acronyms abound throughout the book. Fortunately, the author identifies each. The book has an index and a very detailed table of contents, both of which allow the reader to quickly locate the information he or she seeks. The notes section in each of the book's 11 chapters provides de tailed footnotes for identifying the original source of the information, and Web site URLs where applicable. …
