IBM Enhances infoSage Service, Includes Web-Based Profile Editor

IBM has announced enhancements to the IBM infoSage service, including a personal, Web-based profile editor and the addition of more than 100 companies to its topic list. New content and features added to the service, aimed at business professionals, makes the latest version of IBM infoSage the most personalized, targeted, and flexible Internet news and information delivery service available online, according to IBM.

Daily news deliveries now include content knowledge bases provided by Information Access Company (IAC), acknowledged as a leader in electronic information services. Additionally, IBM infoSage members can now obtain detailed information about companies referenced in their news deliveries by clicking on a screen prompt, a feature that delivers in-depth profiles on more than 56,000 companies through Standard & Poor's Register of Corporations and Hoover's Company Profile databases. These additions to the IBM infoSage base of more than 2,300 news and information sources give members extensive resources from high to select news and information.

IBM infoSage members do not need a Web browser to obtain their personalized news because users have a choice to have their information delivered via Internet e-mail.
