This is a newsletter about women. Yet because we publish it, and the annual compendium "All About Women Consumers," one of the questions I'm asked most often is, "What do you know about men?"

Here are some of the facts we learned in preparing our new report," 101 Charts About Men" (www.epmcom.com/men):

* Men carry an average of 2 credit cards, 1.7 loyalty cards and 4.4 keys-not to mention one third who carry tools such as pocket knives and screwdrivers in their pokets.

* As far as household chores, regardless of age, income or living arrangement, men are most likely to take out the garbage and do at least some of the grocery shopping.

* About one in five men 35-64 years old is the primary grocery shopper in his household, with more than half buying dairy or bakery products on solo shopping trips. They overwhelmingly prefer supermarkets or grocery stores, avoiding supercenters. …
