LEXIS-NEXIS has announced the release of Mergerstat, an online mergers-and-acquisitions database; The Journal of Commerce and several other online business news sources; 23 additional publications to its collection of Institutional Investor, Inc. publications online, and the LEXIS-NEXIS Sales Suite.
The Mergerstat mergers-and-acquisitions database is now online on the LEXIS-NEXIS services. Strategic-planning, business-development, and competitive-intelligence professionals, as well as attorneys, can now easily find the terms of deals in one place. For more than 30 years, Mergerstat has provided detailed information on publicly announced mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. It tracks U.S. transactions and cross-border transactions involving U.S. parent companies where the equity value is greater than $1 million and represents at least a 10 percent interest.
For each transaction, Mergerstat researches over 200 fields of information on the buyer and seller, including parent name, address, product line, business description, SIC codes, synopsis, and (where available) pricing and terms, seller financials, and the name and role of the financial advisor, legal advisor, and accountant.
