Bureau van Dijk (BvD), a leading European supplier of global public and private company information, has introduced an Internet version of the popular AMADEUS,database. AMADEUS contains full company financials, trade descriptions, ownership, and subsidiary details from over 150,000 companies in 26 European countries, with over 8,000 companies in Eastern Europe alone. BvD says that it works with the leading data suppliers from each country using only official information from government registries to give a high level of data reliability.

Flexible software on Internet AMADEUS enables detailed searching on financials, location, industry codes, and much more. An interesting option is the "Charts" selection, which presents graphics of a company's statement or particular variables that users choose themselves. The same creativity is applicable tO groups of companies in the "Peer Analysis" option. Company and peer reports can be printed and exported, and the customized charts can be incorporated into reports and presentations.

Suzanne Clare, marketing manager of BvD in New York, said, Most company information sources on the Web only allow retrieval of static data. What makes this so exciting is that BvD provides Internet AMADEUS with the same kind of analytical functions available on the CD-ROM. …
