ILS Ships Windows Interface for Client/server Versions of SydneyPLUS

International Library Systems, Corp. (ILS), a leading producer of information management systems for special libraries and information centers, is now shipping a Windows interface for the NT and UNIX client/server versions of its SydneyPLUS system. The interface was designed as a flexible and reliable solution for ILS's current and future NT and UNIX clients.

ILS believes that Microsoft Windows NT and UNIX have become important international standards for networking corporate PCs. For many ILS clients, high-powered NT and UNIX machines provide the ability to run on a variety of platforms, addressing client requirements for flexibility, stability, and control in future network planning. As Windows has also become a desktop standard, ILS responded to client demands by developing a Windows version of its client/server-based product.

"The graphical, multiplatform client/server versions of SydneyPLUS deliver the versatility, control, and streamlined structure customers are telling us they need in their library and information management systems," said Ron Aspe, president of ILS. "We are now delivering multiplatform customized solutions to meet the varying needs of our international clientele."
