Since enterprises can lose revenue when the number of users exceeds the number of licensed accounts, AdmitOne Security can step in with its new tool, AdmitOne Security Scout. Its cutting-edge analytics can detect network and device information as well as distinctive user behaviors that create a specific user profile account.

"We have keystroke dynamics to detect specific typing patterns that provide a biometric signature of sorts for a user," says Matthew Shanahan, senior vice president of marketing and strategy at AdmitOne Security. "It ties into a user's individual pressure on the keyboard and length of time on the keys themselves." Scout offers ways for online information providers to check account usage so an enterprise can get the most out of subscription revenues by monitoring digital usage.

The tool's analytics, which have nine patents pending, can also pinpoint which online accounts are being shared and by how many users, and they can identify and remediate these incidences of account sharing without impinging on user functionality along the way.

The user's IP address delivers a location, which can be used to decipher who the users are, what device they are using, and where they come from. As analysts monitor certain accounts, they can often watch activity traveling around the world, says Shanahan. …
