Who/Where--Brian Anderson is executive vice president/ Austin, at OMNIBANK, N.A., a locally owned, independent commercial bank with $386 million in assets and nine locations throughout Texas.

What/Why--Anderson is responsible for commercial banking in Austin, concentrating on commercial, construction, and government-guaranteed opportunities for small to middle-market companies with sales ranging from $1 million to $25 million. He is also a member of the bank's Executive Committee and a voting member of the Loan Committee. In addition, he is responsible for a staff of nine, including three portfolio relationship managers.

Career Background--Anderson joined OMNIBANK in September 1994. From February 1993 to August 2004, he was senior vice president and line-of-business manager at Compass Bank, where he was responsible for commercial banking in Austin, concentrating on commercial lending sales and marketing opportunities for middle-market companies with sales ranging from $2.5 million to $20 million. He also managed a commercial and real estate loan and deposit portfolio, and managed a staff of 15, including eight portfolio relationship managers. Prior to joining Compass Bank, Anderson worked at First City, Texas-Houston as vice president/assistant manager from October 1988 to February 1993; NCNB Houston (Bank 1984 to October 1988; and at Cullen Center Bank and Trust (Frost Bank Houston) as a management trainee from June 1983 to December 1984. …
