Positive, motivated, collaborative.

- How would you define marketing?

The crazy world in which we try to identify customers' needs and meet them. Sounds simple.

- Which ad campaign do you wish you'd commissioned?

The Skoda cake ('Lots of lovely things inside') campaign. In a category where it is always challenging to achieve differentiation, this campaign started with good insight and no one could dispute the great care and craft applied in the execution. I suspect a brave client was a factor, too.

- What drew you to your job?

It was as much a progression as a 'draw'. I wanted to positively impact and support More Th>n.

- What would you be if you weren't a brand manager?

I'd be working for a travel company leading expeditions on land and water to remote corners of the world. Though having just had a quote to re-model my bathroom, I'm rethinking my answer to this.

- If you could get tickets to any event, what would it be?

Two VIP tickets to Glastonbury. I know my wife would love the festival experience, it's just that she'd need to do it in comfort and style. …
