Almost two hundred years ago, Lewis and Clark set out from St. Louis for their landmark journey to explore the new American West. Security professionals embarking for the 43rd ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits in St. Louis - to be held September 8 to 11 - can capture the same exploratory spirit, albeit in far more welcoming surroundings, by participating in Security Management's second annual "Virtual 5K" race.

Don't worry about jogging five kilometers in your wingtips. The "Virtual 5K" is an untimed excursion through the exhibit hall at America's Center. To compete, racers pick up a course map, winch will be in seminar registration packets, in the September issue of Security Management, in the Gateway Gazette (the on-site newspaper), and at the Security Management booth (#3295).

The course map highlights the booth locations of exhibitors who are not only in the hall but also "virtually" everywhere because they now display their wares worldwide through Security Management Online. Racers complete the course by stopping at each of these booths along the route and getting their "Virtual 5K" racing form stamped by the exhibitor. …
