Mark Berry

The Commerce Commission has welcomed Commerce Minister Simon PowerCOs announcement of the appointment of Dr Berry, a specialist in competition law and economic regulation, as its new chair. He takes over on 1 April, with Paula RebstockCOs term expiring on 31 March.

Dene Biddlecombe, Joseph van Wijk, Richard Burcher

Pulse Utilities NZ has made changes to its management team. Biddlecombe, currently a director, has replaced Pulse founder James Martin as chief executive. Martin will remain as a director. Van Wijk has been appointed acting chairman to replace chairman and director Don Purdon, who is stepping down, and Burcher, a Tauranga-based lawyer, has been appointed to the board.

Debra Tong

In the newly created role of operations manager, Tong will be running the New Zealand operations of 3M New Zealand and reporting to Paul Madden, the regional manager for Australia and New Zealand. She returns to New Zealand after four years at 3M Singapore.

Greg Cross

The ICEHOUSE has appointed Cross as its new chairman. He takes over from David Irving, who is retiring after co-founding the business growth centre and being its chairman since 2003. Cross has been an ICEHOUSE director since 2006, is chairman of the NZTE Beachhead Advisory board and a director of Cross Ventures.

Jeremy Sole

Wide ranging industry experience together with extensive marketing, management and leadership skills sees Sole appointed as chief executive officer of the New Zealand ContractorsCO Federation. He takes over from Richard Michael who is leaving after five and a half years to become CEO of mining industry advocacy organisation Straterra.

Jon Ward

A newly created position of manager operations planning and customer service at Ports of Auckland is part of a strategy to improve efficiency and customer service. …
