The opening of nominations for the 2009 Sir Peter Blake Leadership Awards has been marked by Prime Minister John Key reviewing his own leadership Co after 100 days in the office.

Key addressed a Leadership Breakfast in Auckland late last month, reviewing his 100-day plan and discussing his leadership in turbulent times.

Although his first months in office had been marked by global economic hardship, Key told his audience of about 500 business leaders he remained confident in New ZealandCOs ability to come through the recession. He said it was an opportune time to be celebrating leadership and welcomed the opening of nominations for the Sir Peter Blake Leadership Awards.

He outlined the three traits he considered important for successful leadership. These were vision, investing in your skill set and determination.
