Thompson Bible Study Library on CD-ROM

Mark W. Smith, director of electronic publishing for Kirkbride, calls the new Thompson Bible Study Library on CD-ROM "the easiest way to study the Bible and to research classic Christian reference works, because it's a fully expandable interactive multimedia library complete in one box."

Using a familiar Windows graphical interface, users can choose from a variety of Bible study tools and reference works. The CD comes complete with popular study tools, including full color photos, colorful Bible maps, Strong's Greek and Hebrew Concordance, Easton's Bible Dictionary, Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary, and That's Easy for You to Say, an authoritative guide to pronouncing Bible names.

Hypertext links offer the ability to hear names pronounced correctly, to see context-sensitive photos and maps, and, to access any of the study tools anytime during the research process. Personal notes may be attached to the data accessed and findings may be integrated into a single document and exported to commonly used word processing applications.

Standardized STEP (standard template for electronic publishing) formatting allows expandability of the Thompson Bible Study Library.

WORDsearch 4, which Thompson calls the most powerful STEP reader currently available, comes bundled in the Thompson Bible Study Library, allowing users to add any Step-formatted electronic resource.

The Thompson Study System has just been completely updated and expanded to include more than 9,000 topical outlines, 100,000 topical references, Bible book and chapter outlines, parallel chapter and verse references, dozens of exclusive detailed photos, and hundreds of color Bible land maps, and Bible character studies.

This CD-ROM product is available in five separate editions to address the needs of different groups of Biblical researchers. The various editions offer up to 10 Bible translations and a wide range of library and reference books. Prices range from $39.95 for the "Step 1" edition to $299.95 for "Step 5. …
