Creators Syndicate Names New GM/Executive VP

Creators Syndicate has announced that Jack Newcombe is joining the company as executive vice president and general manager.

Newcombe recently received his Master of Business Administration from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. Between his first and second years he worked for Wikia, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales' technology start-up in San Francisco.

"There will always be a demand for quality content," Newcombe said in a statement. "Our job is to understand our readers and give them what they want, no matter the distribution channel."

Newcombe earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, majoring in government and Spanish. While there, he was a four-year varsity athlete and captain of the rowing team. He also studied politics while living in Santiago, Chile, worked with local microfinance programs in Southeast Asia, and performed service work in Tanzania, Africa.

"Jack is the ideal person to take Creators Syndicate to the next level of growth," said founder and CEO Rick Newcombe. "He is brilliant, optimistic and energetic, and he is familiar with new media, having spent the past two years in Silicon Valley getting his MBA at Stanford Universitystudying media and technology. …
