There was plenty of media buzz in the Big Apple last October as Weber Shandwick hosted its second annual VOICEBOXX Executive Roundtable. The event started with breakfast at the Samsung Experience at the Time Warner Center and then launched into a discussion on Reinvention Economy: Recasting Communications as a Critical Corporate Innovator.

VOICEBOXX, which Weber Shandwick bills as "a proprietary suite of products focused on building a company's corporate reputation at global, national, and regional speaking venues throughout the world," is designed to stage timely discussions with key players from global corporations. For Weber Shandwick's Jennifer Risi, who started VOICEBOXX in 2007, "the events create buzz and offer a way for media to share ideas a couple of times a year."

This year's panel focused on the emergence of a new media paradigm that blends online and offline communications to reach out to customers and users in a postrecessionary landscape. The event gathered 65 attendees from all walks of the media and communications industry. For those who couldn't attend, a Twitter hash tag was set up to follow the discussion from all avenues.
