Although more men than women are convinced there are no longer any barriers to women's advancement in the workplace (60% vs. 50%), women do feel they have made significant advancements over the past few decades, according to Time magazine. For instance, 40 years ago, one in three workers were women, and now nearly half are, 70% are less financially dependent on their spouses than their mothers were, and 85% of women and 79% of men believe it is now more acceptable for men to be stay-at-home dads than it was in previous generations. Also:

* 40% of women say they are the primary breadwinner in their household. However, both genders are equally as likely (89%) to be comfortable with the woman earning more money than the man.

* Women are nearly twice as likely as men to think men continue to have it better in life than do women (23% vs. 12%).

* 69% of women and 54% of men believe there would be fewer problems in the world if women were more equal in government and business. …
