The new EXPO Centre in Lagos is currently on target to open to the public during the first quarter of 2010. Located on the premises of Eko Hotel & Suites, it benefits from a strategic position at the heart of Nigeria's capital. Built in the exclusive environment of Victoria Island, the new EXPO Centre is surrounded by beautiful gardens, the Kuramo Waters and the Atlantic Ocean.

The new Centre has been constructed on the site of the original EXPO Centre and covers nearly 8,000 square metres. It represents a major undertaking by the owners and managers Eko Hotels Limited, who decided to invest in a joint project to replace the old Centre and build an additional 168-room luxury hotel on site. Work on the project started in July 2008 and the $40,000,000, state-of-the-art new EXPO Centre will be completed in March as planned.

The new EXPO Centre represents a unique proposition for Lagos, the economic and financial capital of Nigeria. With five exhibit halls of capacities ranging from 450 square metres up to 5500 square metres, three meeting halls of around 250 square metres each and 11 fully equipped meeting rooms, this unique venue promises to establish Lagos as the conference and banquet capital of West Africa. Ample parking space on the two floors below the Centre and on the surrounding access roads, along with a variety of support facilities and recreational areas complemented by the already existing amenities of Eko Hotel 8c Suites, will mean the services of the new EXPO Centre are unrivalled by any in Nigeria and West Africa. …
