For those teachers who have not had access to RSC workshops, this resource will be most welcome and may change the way they teach Shakespeare. It has been produced with Key Stages 2 and 3 in view, drawing on the education work of the company, providing practical resources covering Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The introduction gives an overview of the intentions; in essence 'active and collaborative' approaches promoted as the most effective way to learn, without the need for specialist training. The section on how to use the book is clear and simple--including diagram and icons to enable those who never read instructions to get straight into how the sessions are structured. Each of the sessions/lessons follow this layout. For each play, a contents page gives a brief overview of the session, 13 for Macbeth and A Midsummer Night's Dream, 14 for Romeo and Juliet, and contextual information for each play with some ideas for display.
