- Diageo targets travel

Diageo's Global Travel & Middle East division has hired specialist shopper marketing agency Saatchi & Saatchi X to create a series of travel retail campaigns for its drinks brands. The first will be a push encompassing advertising, in-flight, in-store and experiential work for vodka brand Smirnoff. It will include the creation of bespoke retail environments in airport terminals.

- Glasses of Pineapple

International dance and fashion brand Pineapple is extending its offering with the launch of a range of eyewear. The line, which is aimed at 16- to 25-year-old women, features Swarovski crystals, bright pink colouring and musical motifs. Pineapple Dance Studios was opened in 1979 by former model Debbie Moore.

- Johnson's launch

Skincare brand Johnson's is rolling out a range of Daily Essentials cleansers and moisturisers. The line, which Johnson & Johnson claims has been in development for two years, was devised after the company ran research into the mistakes women make in their skincare routines Products include formulations for dry, normal and combination skin.

- Halfords plots revamp

Halfords is to overhaul its marketing strategy following the appointment of recently merged ad agency DLKW Lowe to its pounds 10m account. The car accessories and bicycle retailer, which acquired rival Nationwide Autocentres earlier this year, is looking to rebrand its 224 existing outlets and open a further 200.

DLKW Lowe won the account following a competitive pitch handled by The Observatory.

- Sovio label contest

Californian sparkling wine brand Sovio is using crowdsourcing to create a label. The brand, which launched in the UK in April and has an ABV of just 5.5%, is seeking unconventional label designs for its range, which it is extending with still variants. Entries must be submitted to by 31 August. The brand is currently available from Tesco and Premier convenience stores.

- Warner Bros hirings

Warner Bros UK has appointed several marketing managers as part of a wider restructure of its marketing department, overseen by former Channel 4 marketing director Polly Cochrane, who is now vice-president and group marketing director. Kezia Toner joins from Universal Pictures as film marketing manager; Nihal de Silva, who previously worked at IGN Entertainment, takes on the role of digital marketing manager; and Tom Gunn joins from Walt Disney as marketing manager for Warner Bros consumer products.

- San Miguel takes time

Carlsberg UK has launched an ad campaign for Spanish beer brand San Miguel, encouraging consumers to drink it at a leisurely pace. The print and outdoor campaign, 'Make time', carries the strapline 'It's not a quick beer' and shows a glass of San Miguel as part of both an hourglass and a sun dial. The campaign was created by Saatchi & Saatchi.

- Reebok raises Tone

Reebok has unveiled a giant poster beside Battersea Power Station in South London that features brand ambassador Kelly Brook wearing nothing but a pair of trainers. The 96-sheet site, owned by Ocean Outdoor, shows the model and actress lying on her stomach. The ad, created by M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment, carries the strapline 'Kelly Brook wears Reebok EasyTone'.

Pizza Hut has launched a digital media campaign to push its tie with summer blockbuster film The A-Team. …
