Swaziland may be small in size and landlocked but this spectacularly beautiful country is one of the most dynamic manufacturing and exporting nations in the region with over 50 international companies located there.

Swaziland's strategic location at the heart of the economically vigorous Southern Africa sub region makes it a natural destination for foreign direct investment.

With one of the best infrastructures in Africa, coupled with an excellent network of rail, road and air arteries and telecommunication links, Swaziland provides easy and hassle-free market access to the rapidly growing SADC bloc as well as inter-connections with the wider COMESA region.

Over 50 international companies have taken advantage of Swaziland's unique location and the facilities it provides to establish manufacturing and processing plants. Companies from the USA, United Kingdom, Japan, Republic of China (Taiwan), Germany and South Africa, amongst others ate engaged in agriculture, horticulture, forestry and timber products, mining, tourism, motor car assembly and international services.

In addition, one of Swaziland's most significant advantages is its membership of the Southern Africa Customs Union (SACU). Exporters based in Swaziland enjoy an automatic duty-exemption system based on bonded warehouse arrangements. The country's Inland Dry Port provides them with efficient and problem-free customs clearance.

Capital goods and raw materials enter the country free of customs and excise duties.
