Based on the latest smash hit from Disney/Pixar Studios is Up: The Video Game, from THQ. Trudge through the treacherous wild jungles of South America with 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen and his eight-year-old sidekick Russell on their adventure to find Paradise Falls. Along the way, players will explore caves, rock gardens, mazes, and raging rivers; compete in aerial dogfights; battle exotic animals; and evade man-eat- ing plants. The game is available on Wii, DS, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, and PC/Mac. It is rated E for Everyone.

Showing no signs of losing any steam, Red Octane's incredibly popular Guitar Hero library continues to grow. The latest edition, Guitar Hero Smash Hits, contains 48 master recordings of favorite GH music that now can be played with the full band. Classics such as Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water," Joan Jett's "I Love Rock 'N Roll," and The Police's "Message in a Bottle" allow players to live out their rock 'n roll fantasies whether they sing, or play guitar, bass, or drums. The game contains eight new venues based on the wonders of the world, including the Amazon, Polar Ice Caps, and the Grand Canyon. Players can design rock avatars with the Rock Star Creator and create their own hits in Music Studio and share them online with GH-Tunes. With difficulty levels ranging from Beginner to Expert+, the game is a fit for all players. For Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and PS2. Rated Teen for mild suggestive themes and lyrics.

The classic Nintendo GameCube favorite Donkey Kong Jungle Beat has been reimagined to take advantage of the Wii motion controls, allowing players to navigate through the vast jungle by manipulating the Wii remote and nunchuk controllers to grab vines or pummel enemies. Fans of the original GC game will notice some changes to the kingdoms, such as additional enemies and obstacles, plus features like Skull Stones, Shock Spheres, and classic Cannon Barrels, plus new monkey friends appear on many levels. Players play as Donkey Kong to defeat all the kings of his world and prove he's king of the jungle. Rate E 10+ for cartoon violence.
