SONY DSC-HX5V GPS CAMERA

If you have purchased a digital camera in the last couple of years, there has been little reason to upgrade until now. Sony recently released the HX5V digital camera. Strategically placed between the expensive Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) and the more inexpensive point-and-shoot cameras, the HX5V is a powerful, feature rich camera in a small box. The camera has four features that separate it from the rest of the pack: a global positioning system (GPS), photo tagging, one shot/sweep panoramic photos and HD video.

The camera has a built-in GPS receiver that "tags" each photo with its location. When combined with photo software found on Flickr.com or built into the iPad, users can access photos by name, date and by physical location.

The camera also has a built-in panoramic shooting mode that allows the user to take extra wide photos with ease. It also works well in low light situations.
