The Society's Past President Served in a Variety of Roles

Phi Kappa Phi Past President Paul J. Ferlazzo took home a framed John James Audubon print at the spring 2009 board meeting in Baton Rouge, La., in recognition of his years of service to the Society. The thank-you gift had been given to him by Phi Kappa Phi board and staff members in anticipation of his departure from a succession of leadership roles with the Society at the end of the 2010 convention held last month. Professor Emeritus of American Literature at Northern Arizona University, Ferlazzo (center, holding the framed print, with his wife, Carole, holding it at left) served on the national board as Western Region Vice President from 1995 to 2001, immediately followed by three-year terms as President-Elect, President, and Past President, respectively.
