Some of the world's biggest advertisers, including Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Sony Ericsson and Virgin Atlantic, have signed up to a digital 'boot camp' that aims to help brands restructure their marketing departments to get closer to consumers.

Top marketers from a wide range of brands will fly to Sweden next month to attend the feted Hyper Island school, which specialises in digital marketing.

Hyper Island will host an intensive three-day masterclass that has been designed to help brands and their agencies get to grips with equipping their businesses for the digital age.

Brands from the UK, US and Nordic regions will share ideas on how to organise their marketing departments to best encourage creativity and innovation.

Hyper Island has worked with a variety of companies, including Google, since its launch in 1995. Its objective is to help companies take advantage of digital platforms to become more creative and, ultimately, more profitable.
