The Youth Orchestra of the Americas (YOA) is a world-class symphony orchestra of gifted young musicians from across the Americas who represent over twenty countries in the Western Hemisphere. Since our Inaugural Tour in 2002, we have performed more than 200 concerts in settings that range from the most prestigious concert halls of Europe and the Americas, including Carnegie and the Vatican, to outdoor venues not often associated with symphonic music.

Our mission is to bring together talented musicians to pursue excellence and celebrate cultural diversity as a catalyst for social change, and that means that YOA is much more than just a symphony orchestra. We are a music education program that also encourages and orients its musicians to share the experiences and knowledge gained at YOA with their communities when they return to their countries. YOA has inspired a number of its graduates to create their own initiatives, and they have formed national and multi-national teams to lead music education programs for children with little access to a symphony or to quality teachers. …
