If you're spending too much time looking for documents instead of working on them, you're not alone. That's why FileTrek, Inc. recently debuted its FileTrek for iPad that can keep track of projects from start to finish, even while you're on the move.

"From the start, FileTrek was intent on solving problems," says Jake White, vice president of marketing communications. "Since more than 50% of knowledge workers use three or more devices now to do their work, we have a very mobile workforce who wants secure access to their documents wherever they are," he says. Likewise, managers are concerned about the amount of IP leaving the office via the mobile workforce. "They don't know if there are leaks, or if they are actually complying with regulatory requirements, especially when people come into the company and start using file-sharing tools such as Dropbox," he says.

The company's development team spent time at the drawing board and combined FileTrek's robust file-tracking capabilities with a secure file-sharing component to help solve the problem of data spill, says White. Employees can now share, sync, and collaborate in a secure, cloud-based environment with FileTrek for iPad. As the only cloud-based, file-sharing-and-tracking solution on the market, the app's mobile dashboard displays tiles depicting a user's current projects and team members for one-click access to work or people, he says.
