What would you be if you weren't a brand manager?

An all-round marketer for a global travel brand.

What attracted you to your current job?

As a chartered marketer and an ardent traveller, I was keen to create a platform that allowed me to fuse both interests. This has allowed me to develop a brand and engage with a niche, passionate audience. The Ad-lib Traveller remains a work in progress, but it grows each day.

What was your first job?

Working part-time for a regional radio station as a researcher and member of the promotional team.

What was your finest hour?

Using my marketing background to launch my blog. Seeing its presence grow has been uplifting.

What is your greatest ambition?

To raise a strong family and share my passion for travel by helping my children explore the world.

If you were a brand, what would you be and why?

McDonald's. Whether the publicity is good or bad, it remains a strong brand. The 'golden arches' are recognised worldwide and I love that they alter their menu in different parts of the world. …
