- How often do you travel?

At least once a month, mainly to the US or Singapore, where I'll meet clients or attend conferences. I'm in Switzerland every January for the World Economic Forum in Davos. My husband's Australian, so I'll be taking a holiday there in October.

- How do you get around?

I have a pilot's licence so if I'm travelling in the UK I'll often fly myself - usually in a Socata TB20, a French plane. The furthest I've flown is Croatia and I occasionally fly to Brussels. Long-haul I'll fly British Airways business class.

- What's the first thing you do after landing?

Call home. I'll have spent most of the flight sorting my 800 emails and after touching down I click send (which is why people are suddenly bombarded with a flurry of emails from me). When I get to the hotel I'll exercise to try and fight the jet lag.

- Favourite airport?

Blackpool, it's not too busy and is close to the motorways. The worst is Heathrow. Avoid it at all costs.

- Most essential travel item?

Running shoes. I'm also weighed down with an assortment of chargers. But any businesswoman who claims that toiletries don't take up most of her suitcase is lying.
