ANOTHER NEW EVENT IN THE FOOTBALL calendar is the Soccerex African Forum in Durban, South Africa. The annual event will be organised over the next four years, in conjunction with the Kwazulu-Natal Province and Ethekwini Municipality. The maiden forum will take place between the 23rd and 24th October and deal with continental and global football issues.

It will bring together the leading decision makers in the African football business with their counterparts from around the world for unrivalled learning, networking and commercial opportunities.

The Soccerex African Forum coincides with the 2013 African Cup of Nations draw, which also takes place in the city and will attract the key industry figures in the world of African football, as they look forward to the continent's premier football event.

The Durban forum marks Soccerex's return to South Africa, having hosted their global conventions in Johannesburg between 2007-2009, in the build-up to the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The conference programme features detailed and engaging conference sessions and workshops, directly tailored towards the development of football across the continent.

A couple of key conference sessions to attend will be:

2010--FIFA World Cup Legacy: After staging the successful 2010 FIFA World Cup, the first time the tournament was hosted in Africa, an exclusive FIFA and local organising committee will look at the success of the tournament and the lasting legacy it has left behind.
