Life can be a treacherous road. Speaker, psychotherapist, and author Diane Lang shares 11 roadblocks that may be halting your happiness. These can be avoided, however, she indicates, if you recognize them:

* Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. We get stuck in habits that are not good for us. If we do not change the bad habits then how can we change the outcome?

* Keeping up with the Joneses. Comparing yourself to others is setting yourself up for failure because you end up living by others' standards, not your own.

* Sitting when you should be moving. An active lifestyle boosts endorphins (the happy chemical). If we do not exercise, we likely will feel sluggish, fatigued, and cranky.

* Sunlight equals Vitamin D, and we need both. Even spending 10 to 15 minutes outdoors in natural sunlight can boost an individual's mood and improved one's outlook on life.

* You are what you eat. If you have a day of eating bad, you feel it immediately--not just in your stomach, but in your moods. …
