Rusty began playing a plastic guitar at age five, and within four years he was pulling riffs off of records and playing at his elementary school. In high school, he "avoided sports as an excuse to play guitar," and learned scales from a jazz instructor. He studied classical and jazz guitar in college, as well as voice and music theory. Rusty played with his college jazz band and performed numerous gigs in L.A. with the groups Soldier, Eulogy, and his current group, the Living Daylights, which has released two records. He's toured from coast to coast, sharing the bill with bands as diverse as the Police and Van Halen. While at home, he 'maintains an average of 45 guitar and voice students. …
