Sponsors of tennis star Andy Murray, including Adidas, Head and RBS, took to Twitter to congratulate the world number two after he ended Britain's 77-year wait for a Wimbledon men's singles champion last month. Experts believe the Scot's annual off-court earnings, including sponsorship deals, could double to about pounds 15m.


Nike marked the 25th anniversary of its ubiquitous 'Just do it' slogan last month. The sports brand rolled out the strapline in a 1988 US TV ad, by Wieden & Kennedy, showing 80-year-old Walt Stack jogging across the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.


Former Virgin marketer Catherine Salway had created an alcohol-free 'bar movement' called Redemption, aimed at consumers who want to go out but avoid drinking alcohol and eating meat. It will appear as a summer pop-up venue on Sundays at Netil House in Hackney, East London, with a permanent venue planned to open at Trellick Tower, near Notting Hill, in September.
