Q: What is the main mission of Dempster Family Foundation?

TG: The Dempster Family Foundation's main mission is to promote awareness of 22q11.2 deletion, and offer support and hope for families of children diagnosed with 22q. To support this effort, the Foundation works to provide funding to continue research for early detection of this disorder in children, support programs about 22q providing education and promote long-term well being--and develop a 22q network for families of children affected by this disorder to share stories and help navigate healthcare options and treatments. We also provide financial support to charities which assist and comfort critically-ill children, in the Chicago area, as well as offer support to youth baseball programs, military families and animal shelters.

Q: What are some of Dempster Family Foundation's accomplishments of which you are most proud?

TG: We've truly been blessed to have had such an outpouring of support for the Foundation, to help us make an impact in such a short period of time.
