It's all here, every concerto Mozart wrote for the horn, either complete or newly reconstructed by Stephen Roberts, K370/; and K371 for the first time. On period instruments too. Choose between the usually heard humdrum Siissmayr finale (separately numbered K514) for K412 or Mozart's much superior own--a torso of 40 fully scored bars, unbroken solo part and sketches now filled out in as accomplished a manner as Torsten Johan's for Teunis van der Zwart. And delight in K494a, 'partly orch Roger Montgomery'.

He is to the fore, sometimes a tad too much so; but the stopped notes and brazen timbre of the natural horn are captivating enough to overlook this inconsistency. …
