Billy Slater presents ... Try Time is the first in a series of chapter books aimed at primary school-aged readers. Each novel in the series will focus on one player on the West Hill Ravens rugby league team. The main character in Try Time is Josh Brown, an 11 year-old winger who builds his confidence as a player during the course of the novel. Josh's grandad is an important role model as Josh's dad works out of town and his Mum is busy with a new baby sister.
