C. REYNOLD VERRET has been named president of Xavier University of Louisiana, starting July 1. He is currently provost and vice president for academic affairs at Savannah State University. Verret earned a bachelor's from Columbia University and a doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

MADELINE PUMARIEGA has been appointed chancellor of the Florida College System. She was chief executive officer of Take Stock in Children. She earned a bachelor's from St. Thomas University and a masters from Florida Atlantic University.

EVELYN MARIA THOMPSON has been appointed president of Coppin State University, effective July 1. She is currently provost and vice president for academic affairs at the State University of New York College at Oneonta. Thompson earned a bachelor's from Tennessee State University, a masters from The Ohio State University and a doctorate from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

STACY SWEENEY has been named president of Bay State College, effective July 13. She is currently chief administrative officer at Southern New Flampshire University. Sweeney holds a bachelor's from the University of Pittsburgh and a masters from Antioch University McGregor.

BENJAMIN OLA. AKANDE has been named president of Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. He will take office July 1. He currently serves as a professor of economics and dean of the George Herbert Walker School of Business and Technology at Webster University in St. Louis.
