What's the first information you consume in the morning? Probably just any texts or emails that came in while I was asleep.

What social media platforms do you use? I don't use any.

Why not? It just doesn't interest me. It feels like a weird, part-time job. And it seems kind of dangerous, having that in your pocket. It's like drunk-texting your girlfriend, but your girlfriend is, like, America.

Were you ever on Facebook? Facebook came out when I was in college when it was just localized on your campus. I remember, at first, everybody had their name and phone number and everything on there because it was just limited to other people at your school. Then it opened up to other schools and now everybody's grandparents are on there. My brother is on Facebook, and he's always having to avoid friend requests from relatives and stuff. 1 feel like it's over.

Do you follow any websites or blogs? I read The Wall Street Journal on my iPad. That's where I get most of my news from. I'm like a 50-year-old man, I'm also a big fan of Bill Simmons' site, Grantland, and The Onion AV Club, Pitchfork, Deadspin.

What's your favorite app? The one that I use the most is the podcast app on the iPhone. But my favorite app is NBA Game Time where you can watch all the games on your iPad and phone. That's pretty awesome.

Which podcasts do you listen to? Like everybody else on Earth, I was listening to Serial. I like Bill Simmons, all the NPR stuff, like Fresh Air, some of the Nerdist stuff, like the Writers Panel show they do, The Treatment from KCRW. …
