A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS

You know a band is a big deal when Beyonce sings backup vocals on its new album. Winner of seven Grammys and this year's Super Bowl headliner, Coldplay is on fire once again with A Head Full of Dreams. The band's seventh--and reportedly final--studio album features a fierce mix of musical styles. The first-released single, "Adventure of a Lifetime," flashes back to the '70s with its disco vibes. "Hymn for the Weekend" is just as the title indicates: a fist-pumping hip-hop anthem perfect for Saturday night in the club. Lead singer Chris Martin slows it down for a piano ballad, "Everglow," a sweet tribute to ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, whose voice is heard throughout the song. Martin croons, "If you love someone you should let them know. Oh the light that you left me will everglow." It's optimistic--a thread that runs throughout the album.
