Truth be told, I have never eaten at Chipotle. I hear it's good, but I just never got around to trying it. Considering the level of devotion it seems to inspire, however, I suspect that I may be missing out on something. Last year, for example, two men made headlines simply for eating a ton of the stuff. Mark Rantal, a graphic designer from Colorado Springs, reportedly ate at least one meal from the popular chain for 153 days in a row, while Andrew Hawryluk, an animator from Los Angeles, completed an even longer streak of 186 consecutive days. This wasn't even part of some coordinated effort--they just really liked the food.

Of course, these streaks began long before the multiple cases of E. coli, norovirus and Salmonella contamination sickened hundreds of Chipotle customers around the country. Superfans remained undaunted, however. Rantal and Hawryluk said that, although their streaks were over, they still eat at the restaurant on a fairly regular basis, while the Washington Post reported on a Virginia couple that ate at Chipotle on their wedding day and go back at least once a week and on their anniversary. …
