Dear Valued APHSA Member:

We are pleased to present the 2016 American Public Human Services Association (APHSA) annual report, showcasing the accomplishments and progress our team has made with and through your leadership in advancing our Pathways agenda on the local, state and federal level. We cannot thank you enough for the time, effort and knowledge you bring to the conversation every day and we look forward to continuing to work hand-in-hand with you on the critical issues facing human-serving agencies across the country.

2017 brings a new administration and Congress and the need to form new partnerships with policymakers who can help shape a modern human-serving system that helps all of us live to our full potential. As your membership organization, we remain committed to sharing with these policymakers what we know works as well as elevating promising new practices and spotlighting policy changes that will lead to better outcomes for children and families across the nation.

Through our three Collaborative Centers (highlighted in this report), we are committed to building national peer networks that advance solutions within and across the public, social and private sectors to strengthen individuals and families as well as the communities In which they live. …
