Matthew and Joyce Walsh Family Hall of Architecture University of Notre Dame (Indiana)

The new, classically inspired home of Notre Dame's architectural school, funded in part by a $27 million donation from the Walsh family, is a 100,000-square-foot edifice located at the south end of campus. The two-story building, surrounding a court, will include classrooms, studios, architecture library, an auditorium and workshop spaces. The new building will enable the school to add two new graduate programs in historic preservation and real estate development. John Simpson Architects (Tondon) serves as design architect, Stantec (Chicago) is the executive architect and the Walsh Group (Crown Point, Ind.) is the main contractor for the project. Completion expected by December 2018.
