Cell 7 is a dystopian thriller which will appeal to teenage readers, and as many reviewers will no doubt point out, Hunger Games or Patrick Ness fans. Although the main theme of the story is familiar, a satire of reality TV but what makes this novel stand out is that the focus of fictional TV programme is the death penalty.

Martha Honeydew, is on death row and the decision as to whether she is executed is entirely down to a public vote. For seven days, Martha's every movement in custody is scrutinised by the cameras and various guests on the nightly edition of 'Death is Justice' discuss her crime.
