My parish went from a vibrant, active community to a split, angry one because of our pastor's actions. We lost about one third of our parish, and the entire finance and parish councils resigned. We had to withhold our Sunday offerings to get the attention of the bishop's office. How very sad that money--not the voices of the people--gets the attention of those who make decisions in our church.

Our pastor is a Capuchin Franciscan. He brings those charisms to all he does. He has a genuine interest in the parishioners and has created a wonderful CCD program and youth ministry. He is even-tempered, respectful, efficient, and devout.
