AvantGo, Inc., a provider of mobile information, and The Industry Standard, a weekly Internet-economy newsmagazine published by 190, have announced the creation of The Industry Standard Channel, which features late-breaking news about the Internet economy to business executives who rely on handheld computers.

With this relationship, IDG is taking advantage of what Industry analysts are calling a new publishing trend enabled by AvantGo's software. The Industry Standard Channel is available today at http://www.thestandard.com/portable.
