Derrick Whittington Manson, 5, takes his turn at bat as brother, Devin, 7, holds his chair. Derrick who has cerebral palsy loves to play sports and cannot wait to join a Tee-ball league for children who have disabilities. According to their mother, Angela, "Derrick is a very happy and lovable boy." Aside from Tee-ball, Derrick is involved in physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and attends preschool. Derrick lives in Lucedale, MS, with his brother, Devin, younger sister, Emily and parents, Terry and Angela.

Casey Elliot, (Right) 3, is enjoying a picnic lunch with big brother, Colin, 10. Casey has velo-cardio-facial syndrome (VCFS), a genetic syndrome characterized by a cleft palate, congenital heart disease, and different facial features. Casey loves to swim in the pool, play on the computer, and watch television. Casey and Colin also have twin sisters, Nicole and Julia, 6. Casey and her siblings live with their parents, Larry and Nancy, in Prince Frederick, MD.

Sisters, (from left to right) Bridget, 5, Nicole, 7, and Rebecca Engel, 2, are enjoying a hot summer day cooling down poolside. Bridget has cerebral palsy. She has started her second year of special education preschool this fall. She enjoys reading books, and is an avid fan of Barney[TM] and Baby Bop.[TM] Their mother, Michelle says, "Bridget is a happy fun-lovin' kid who enjoys making people laugh." The sisters live in Annandale, MN, with parents, Tim and Michelle, and dog, Molly.
